Violence will not be tolerated: JNU administration after clash over non-veg food

The JNU administration on Monday explained that no violence will be tolerated on campus and warned the college students from acquiring included in any incident which disturbs peace and harmony on campus.

The warning by JNU came a working day after two teams of learners clashed at the varsity’s Kaveri Hostel on Sunday allegedly over serving of non-vegetarian meals on Ram Navami in the mess, with law enforcement saying 6 students have been hurt in the violence.

”Taking critical note of the incident, the Vice Chancellor, rector and other officials frequented the hostel and achieved the college students. The VC conveyed that no violence will be tolerated on campus and appealed the pupils to preserve peace and harmony,” the Registrar explained in an formal attraction to the college students. ”JNU administration reiterates its resolve for zero tolerance in the direction of any kind of violence on campus. The college students are also warned to refrain from involving in these types of incidents which disturb the peace and harmony on campus. If any one is identified indulging in these acts, they will be liable for disciplinary motion as for every college policies,” he additional.

In accordance to law enforcement, security has been tightened at the Jawaharlal Nehru College to manage peace and guarantee no untoward incident takes put again.
