Chilean companies forecast ‘above normal’ inflation in next 12 months

Santiago, May 4 (IANS) Chilean companies projected the country’s inflation will be “well higher than usual” in the future 12 months, according to a Company Perceptions Report introduced by the Central Lender of Chile.
The report, which summarises opinions from companies throughout the nation, on Tuesday explained although the outcome of inflation on the companies’ performance has so much been insignificant, there is a common issue about its effect on residence consumption selections and the feasible impact on the companies’ potential performance.
In addition, most of the corporations surveyed mentioned their general performance has not revealed main variations in contrast to the starting of the year, Xinhua information company noted.
“This is occurring in the context of demand from customers remaining rather stable, in spite of a slight moderation, while price tag pressures continue to be substantial,” the report included
